The 74HC573D is an 8-bit high-speed CMOS transparent latch featuring three-state outputs. It's a member of the 74HC logic family and operates with a voltage range from 2 to 6V. This device has eight parallel data inputs (D0-D7), eight corresponding outputs (Q0-Q7), an Output Enable (OE) pin, and a Latch Enable (LE) pin. When LE is low, outputs hold their current state; when OE is low and LE is high, outputs follow the data inputs. The 74HC573D is commonly used for driving digital displays like LEDs or LCDs in multiplexed configurations, allowing data to be latched and sequentially refreshed.
