The 74HC373D is a high-speed CMOS device that consists of eight D-type latches with individual data inputs (D0-D7) and three-state outputs (Q0-Q7). It's designed for bus-oriented applications, where the shared Output Enable (OE) pin controls all outputs to become high-impedance when OE is high, allowing for bus sharing. The Latch Enable (LE) input determines when data from the D inputs gets stored in the latches; when LE is high, data is transparently passed through to the outputs, and when LE is low, the latched data remains unchanged regardless of subsequent changes at the D inputs. This chip operates within a 2V to 6V voltage range and provides up to 6mA output current per pin.
