The SN74HC540DWRE4 is a Texas Instruments-manufactured, high-speed CMOS logic device. It's an octal buffer/line driver designed to enhance performance and density in applications like tri-state memory address drivers, clock drivers, and bus-oriented receivers and transmitters. The device features eight non-inverting buffers with separate output enables (OE), allowing data from the A inputs to be transferred to Y outputs when OE is low. When OE is high, the outputs become high-impedance. Packaged in a 24-DIP or equivalent, it ensures proper functionality in systems requiring high fanout capability and low power consumption.
