The CY74FCT240CTSOCT is an octal buffer and line driver IC from Texas Instruments, designed for applications such as memory address drivers, clock drivers, and bus transmitters/receivers. It offers speed and drive capability comparable to its fastest bipolar logic counterparts while reducing power consumption. This device interfaces directly with TTL, NMOS, and CMOS without external components due to its input/output voltage levels. The Ioff circuitry is integrated to disable outputs during partial power down, preventing backflow current that could damage connected devices. Packaged in a 20-SOIC surface mount package, it is specified for complete operation with output disable functionality.
