The MC74HC240ADW is a high-speed CMOS octal buffer/line driver from the 74HC240 series by ON Semiconductor (previously Motorola). It features non-inverting, three-state outputs and is designed for low power consumption while providing high noise immunity and switching speeds. This device is housed in a small-outline package (SOP) and is suitable for bus-oriented applications where high fanout capability and data transmission control are required. The IC includes input clamping diodes for protection against electrostatic discharge and operates with a voltage range of typically 2V to 6V.
