The DS2480B+ is an 8-pin SOP-encapsulated serial to 1-Wire interface IC from Maxim Integrated (formerly Dallas Semiconductor). It acts as a bridge between UART or 5V RS232 systems and the 1-Wire bus, supporting standard and high-speed modes. This chip enables communication with various 1-Wire devices such as temperature sensors, EEPROMs, and other digital components without requiring additional power supplies for some devices in parasite power mode. Suitable for applications where multiple 1-Wire devices need to be interfaced via a serial connection.
