The SP485REN-L/TR is a surface-mount RS-485/RS-422 transceiver IC manufactured by MaxLinear (formerly EXAR). It comes in an 8-pin SOIC package, supporting data rates up to 10Mbps with a single 4.75V to 5.25V power supply. The device features half-duplex communication, enhanced receiver protection, and ESD protection rated at ±15kV IEC 61000-4-2 and HBM. Ideal for long-distance, robust data transmission over twisted-pair cables in industrial and automation applications.
