The ISO1042DWV is an isolated CAN transceiver from Texas Instruments (TI) designed for Controller Area Network (CAN) communication. It complies with the ISO11898-2 (2016) standard and offers 70V DC bus fault protection. This device operates at data rates up to 5 Mb/s, comes in an 8-pin SOIC wide-body package (DWV), and is suitable for automotive and industrial applications requiring reinforced isolation. It supports flexible data rates and features low power consumption with a supply voltage range of typically 1.71 V to 5.5 V. Evaluation modules (EVMs) are available for testing purposes.
