The ADM4850ARZ is a differential line transceiver by Analog Devices, designed for high-speed, half-duplex communication in RS-485 and RS-422 multi-drop bus applications. It features separate driver enable inputs and receiver outputs to facilitate sharing on a common twisted-pair cable, supporting data rates up to 20Mbps with robust noise immunity. Suited for industrial and automation environments, it offers 1/8 unit load input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers on a single bus. The device also ensures low power consumption, making it ideal for battery-powered systems.
