The 74HC244D is a high-speed CMOS device from the 74HC logic family, functioning as an 8-bit buffer/line driver with three-state outputs. It consists of two 4-bit buffers and includes dual output enable inputs (1OE and 2OE). When both OE pins are low, the device transparently passes input signals to its corresponding outputs (Y); when OE pins are high, outputs are in a high-impedance state. The chip operates with a supply voltage range of 2V to 6V and is available in SOP20 packaging. It's suitable for bus-oriented applications where data needs to be driven onto a shared bus or interfaced between devices with different drive capabilities.
